A great deal amount of research have been made toward the possibilities of human civilisation migrating into the deep sea, but few have studied on the transitional period, particularly on how would the humans learn to adapt to the liquid pressure environment. The device acts as an aid during this period, it travels underwater to the location of a diver suffering from the "bends" and inflates into a pressurized chamber, it subsequently floats to the surface awaiting rescue.​
